H.O.P.E Foster Program
Thank you for your interest in fostering for the Humane Society of Western Montana! This is a great opportunity to help stressed, sick, young or injured animals get back on their feet again. Fostering is also a great way for people to help animals who may not be ready to make a long-term commitment like adoption. Click here to fill out our HOPE foster application and get started!

Foster parents provide loving in-home care to the animals while we provide all the necessary supplies including food, toys, litterboxes, medication, etc. The majority of animals needing foster care are underage kittens and occasionally puppies, but we often have adult cats and dogs that simply need a break from shelter life. The time commitment required varies from animal to animal. For example, underage kittens may need anywhere from one to eight weeks in a foster home, while a dog with kennel cough may just need a week or so away from the shelter. Whatever your preferences, fostering is one of the most rewarding ways you can help the animals at The Humane Society!
Interested? Please fill out our FOSTER APPLICATION and email or snail mail it to us. Don't forget to check out the animals listed below who need fostering TODAY!
We are also partnering with the YMCA and looking for pet advocates for survivors of domestic violence and homeless families. Pet advocates will foster pets for up to 60 days; we will provide pet food, some supplies and vaccinations as needed. Potential pet advocates will be required to first fill out an application and then attend a training on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 5-7 pm. Please contact Lisa Bruce at 543-6691 for an application.
