Sponsorship Opportunities
HSWM Events
You can reach an audience of animal lovers and support the Humane Society of Western Montana by sponsoring one of our many events. These events are a unique opportunity to promote your business, build good will and gain valuable contact with an animal-focused audience. Depending on your level of support, you can take advantage of pre- and post-event publicity and advertising, logo opportunities and event materials. Proceeds help cover the expenses of caring for the animals at our shelter including food, vaccinations, spay/neuter, training and veterinary care.
Adopt-a-thon: February 2010
Last year, the first annual Adopt-a-Thon surpassed our goal with 69 animals adopted over Valentine’s Day weekend. The shelter was packed with adopters late into the evening, as we extended our hours and offered chocolate to visitors and tote bags for adopters. This year, sponsors are needed to cover costs of advertising and promotion of the event, as well as provide products and services to stuff in tote bags given to all adopters. A great way to reach animals lovers in the community!
Sponsorships range from $250 to $1,000 and include:
- Information/product distribution through adopter tote bags
- Recognition in event advertising and publicity and through the HSWM newsletter
Ken Shughart Humanitarian Awards:
April 17th, 2010, Holiday Inn Parkside
Each year an adult and child who have made a difference in the lives of animals are honored in memory of Ken Shughart, a past board president who was known for his altruistic dedication to animals, especially cats. We hope to raise $50,000 in 2009, making it the most successful event to date. Mayor John Engen returns as the evening’s emcee and nearly 300 attendees will enjoy live music and bid on silent and live auction items.
Sponsorships range from $500 to $2,000 and include:
- Reserved table(s) at event
- On-site recognition through program advertisement, signage and announcements
- Sponsor recognition in event advertising/publicity and through our newsletter
Bone Ball: August 27th, 2010, Caras Park Missoula
It’s not often that you can go out to dinner with your dog (or cat). At the Annual Bone Ball, guests can bring Fido or Fluffy to dine, drink, listen to live music and bid on pet- and art-related silent and live auction items. Previous year’s themes have ranged from PawParrazzi to Bone To Be Wild, making this event a fun way to help the homeless animals in our community. Over 250 guests and their dog/cat friends attending each year make this a great pet-friendly event. Sponsorships range from $500 to $2,000 and include:
- Reserved table(s) at event
- On-site recognition through program advertisement, signage and announcements
- Sponsor recognition in event advertising and publicity and through our newsletter
Canine Classic at Paws Up: September 26th, 2010, The Resort at Paws Up
Collect pledges and win prizes. Hike with your dogs on the beautiful grounds of the Resort at Paws Up in Greenough, Montana. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch and the company of other dog-lovers after your hike. Sponsorships range from $250 to $750 and include:
- Admission to the hike
- Logo placement on banner and T-shirts
- Distribution of literature at event
- Logo on posters and other promotional materials
