About the Event
The Resort at Paws Up in Greenough, Montana will be hosting the fourth annual "Canine Classic at Paws Up." Participants and their canine companions are invited to hike or run the beautiful trails on the grounds of The Resort at Paws Up then stay for a BBQ lunch, awards, and live music. Prizes will be awarded for the individuals collecting the most in pledge donations. 100% of the proceeds from the event go to the Humane Society of Western Montana.

The Routes
Choose from a timed half marathon, five mile, or two mile route. The half marathon and five mile routes will be timed for runners. All trails are easy to moderate terrain with some elevation gain and loss. Some trails are partly along the Blackfoot River.
Start Times
Start time for walking/hiking depends on the route you take and your pace. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. Keep in mind that starts at noon and will be served until 2:30.
If you plan on running and participating in a timed event, start times stagger as follows:
- 1/2 Marathon: Registration @ 10:00 a.m., Start time: 10:15 a.m.
- 5 mile : Registration @ 11:15 a.m., Start time: 11:30 a.m.
The BBQ lunch will be served starting at 12:00 p.m., with awards at 1:45 p.m. and the event ends at 2:30 p.m.
How it Works
Either pay a flat registration fee ($50 for adults and $20 for age 5-12, under 5 is free) OR egister as a pledge collector ( gather a minimum of $125 in donations) and compete to win big prizes!
Your registration fee includes a goodie bag, BBQ lunch, and beverages!
Visit our First Giving page where you can register for the event as either a pledge collector OR by paying the registration fee. After you register, you can choose to create your own personalized fundraising page, send it to friends, family, coworkers, etc... Get pledge donations over the 'net, and you may win one of many incredible prizes!
If you are paying the flat fee to register, you will be prompted to create a fundraising page. If you do NOT wish to fundraise, just skip this step during the registration process.
Online registration closes on September 22nd. You may still register at the event for $55 for adults and $25 for kids. If you plan on registering at the event, download event day info here.
Prizes
The pledge collector that raises the most in donations wins:
GRAND PRIZE: A two night stay "Glamping" at The Resort at Paws Up (minimum of $2000 raised)
FIRST PRIZE: A night stay at the Resort at Paws Up with dinner (minimum of $1000 raised)
SECOND AND THIRD PRIZES: A raft trip down the Alberton Gorge and a horseback ride - both with gourmet lunch! (minimum of $500 raised)
